Pretty Heart - Toy
Felt real damn good to be offline for the past three weeks. But it also feels good to start biting into some new tunes. Was just IMing w Jarri about stuff I might have missed while I was out, and he pointed me to this talented gal from Ohio. Morgan Holliger writes some wickedly dark, sultry songs that ooze sex but are full of delicious restraint. Lovely.
She co-directed this video for her newest single with Matthew Christie. Get the song free now on her Bndcmp.
You guys were right all along. I was just too blind to see it. I guess if I would have opened my eyes and listened to your comments and posts, I would have seen this coming. Or, I guess if I would have watched any of the past 4 episodes I would have seen this coming.
Anyway, that’s bad.
Loco wasn’t entirely terrible though. There were some good things that came out of this. Like…
1) The earthy frocks she left at my apartment will make great curtains for my kitchen window.
2) She left an unopened bottle of Kombucha in the fridge.
3) There is no three. That is all.
Not much.
I had to get rid of the honey bees.
Even if she hasn’t quit (or did Metal fire her? They each tell different stories) I wouldn’t be able to pay Rebecca Black any longer.
Luckily Shaman doesn’t technically get paid so things are still good there.
Selling the company seems like the right thing to do. That way I can spend more time with Loco.
I wonder if she purposely ran this place into the ground so that she could spend more time with me? Love makes us do crazy things. Of course that’s not true. She is too kind-hearted and wonderful.
Didn’t get a chance to put this up before Christmas, but our friends in My Pet Dragon released a great track for the holidays.
I am a human being, so of course I did not take PLEASURE in the firing of Idol, Metal, Techno and Dubstep, but I didn’t really have much of a choice in the matter. They are posers and I owe it to the company to keep posers out of the office. Same goes for Hip Hop. Unfortunately, Hip Hop paid the ultimate penalty for his deceit by being taken the the Rat Protector. Idol not liking Daughtry, Metal having a catchphrase, Techno and Dubstep’s previous employ under Ms Stefani, while terminable offenses, are not nearly as severe as our HIP HOP hire revealing himself to be a NERD.
Again, this does not mean I am HAPPY with what happened.
But it happened.
Now it is time to move on and start fresh with a new batch of employees.
Hipster Idol, who loves everything mainstream…ironically.
Hipster Metal, by far the loosest cannon of the bunch. I never know WHICH direction he is going to stare longingly into, or for how long.
And Hipster Techno and Dubstep, who I presume enjoy dancing and music of some kind, though I have yet to evidence of it.
But at least they are authentic in their ideals.
This is the new MyMusic.
